Garuda = Hindu King of Birds. The Thunderbird. Approximate wingspan of 30 metres, and quite capable of carrying a few people, or, at a pinch, an Avatar.

Also the preferred online alias of Geoffrey Willoughby

Who is currently living in Bedlam, waaaaay out at the northern edge of Cambridge.

Current PCs in TT are

Garuda/Dukaat

I have an imagination inclined to wander off and come back with all sorts of strange things. As I type this, my head is resounding from a complex dream set in about 3rd century northern Russia. However, a few days ago God thwacked me with this one as I was trying to get to sleep. It's a twisted little story which I find rather kinky, but, to quote another online author "something got into my fingers and made them do it."

Garuda/Swelling The story's quite fun. You really, *really* could have chosen a better name for her though. Git... --Pufferfish

What? I know no-one called Lucille... The only person I know factually/fictionally is quite adamant about not being Lucille. Any involuntary mental association on your part is Not My Problem :)

(Yes, I know the title sucks. Better suggestions gratefully recieved)

And then, after a very boring training course, I started writing this sordid little novella. It took a while. Be warned, it's pornagraphic, a bit disturbing, has long chunks of exposition and is much longer than the above fluff.

Garuda/PointsOfView

In 2001, at Aberystwyth univeristy, I got into an interesting discussion on the way back from somewhere. Supervillains, Evil geniuses, and other Bad guys all seem to make the same mistakes. They all seem to do the same things, in the same ways. While the 101 ules for Evil Overlords acts as a useful list of dos and don'ts, where do they learn their trade in the first place? What qualifications for their current positions do they hold? And if it's a degree, what do they study?

And so was born the Faculty of Villainous Meglomania.

Much of it is by my friends of thetime. The 2008 syllabus and the address by the Head of faculty are by me :)

And while I'm using this perfectly innocent page to inflict my scribblings on you, here's another.

There's a fantasy author called Raymond E Fiest. One of his more impressive pieces is a trilogy caled the Riftwar Saga. It features medieval chinese type humans invading a medieval europe type setting. In a following trilogy (co-written with Janny Wurts), from the Tsurani (chinese ish) point of view, the main character starts by being pulled out of a nunnery and told that her father (Lord Sezu of the Acoma), brother, and 98% of their army is dead, betrayed due to complex politics, on the battlefield. And now she's in charge. How she deals with that forms the rest of the trilogy. However, the whole thing is a bit of a mystery from the point of view of the (medieval europe type) Kingdom.

So I wrote this... post battle investigation, from the Kingdom point of view. Due to objections over names, and the fact that mine fits the setting, the main character is caled Geoff. Although wih his job, I wouldn't want to be him.

And then I got a nasty case of fanfiction bug. And wrote this little piece, fanfiction for the Exalted RPG. It's easily the biggest piece on here. And goes on for quite a while. And includes only 1 cameo by one of my PCs :) Anyway,

Garuda/ThoseNotChosen

So, months later while driving along a dark road, I had this idea. This has been approved by those people recognisably in it.
