If you could recruit any characters and NPCs from Treasure Trap - including dead and retired PCs and NPCs - to go on a linear, who would you pick and what kind of linear would be ideal for them? You can have two characters played by the same person if you want, although I might like to actually run one of these as a comedy out-of-continuity linear at some point and that won't be possible if two characters share a physrep.
An example, to get you all going: The non-standard races character party
- Edgar (Ahdok's grey elemental human warlock)
- TheKremlin/Daramin (Black elemental human dark mage)
- Rupert Skysworn (Tristan's blue elemental human air mage)
- Bluebottle/Mary (Superficially a demon)
- Petrof the Damned! (LMM's half-troll lesser vampire fire-and-light mage)
- Piers James Hylas Fingal O'Flahertie Pisky Von Tinkle Van Peterson-Landt, Baron of Your Mother (Lupie's Fae subterfuger)
Funnily enough, the character party with All The Flange is (almost) entirely composed of mages. I could include some undead but we never had undead PCs for very long except on a 3ygb.
Actually quite a decent party because they can all be magic-cured. If six is too many I'd drop one of the elemental humans.
Scenario: Either "hijacking a plane" or something with lots of Children of the Light, because the entire party is made up of Abominations Unto The Light.
Character party most like to self-destruct from PvP? before the third encounter:
- Alistaire (Flying_O's subterfugey priest of Vivamort)
- Evangeline (Bryony's Azraelite)
- Zebbie/LisalotteGuyer (Child of the Light)
- Petrof the Damned! (He's an abomination unto Azrael, the Light, Vivamort and possibly Humact.)
- Felicity/Carla (Prefferably as a Wight because then she's an abomination unto Azrael, Humact, Vivamort, Balance and probably the Light)
- Joey/Iris (Not that she's very PvP? oriented, she just has the most powerful Aura of Doom yet witnessed.)
Maybe throw in Rupert as well if we want less backstabbing and more front-lightning-bolting.
Scenario: Sword of Humact!
OP: Valtiel
From Inquisitor:
How's about the 'It was necessary to destroy the plane in order to save the plane' group - a selection of the most ruthless, and incidentally powerful, people you'd love to have on your side, but not necessarily your planet:
- Nathaniel Argenta (Planeswalking Warlock, wielding Vengence (Justice Inverted, a sword which kills gods), and the power of Unmaking).
- Carla (Wight of Morvana, wielding Angelo (Backstabbing werewolf of Balance, in Axe form)).
- Ash (True Elf revolutionary and terrorist, elevating biological warfare to new lows).
- Ariane Tallis McDee? (Master Alchemist and Johnite without portfolio. Ruthless and subtle, she never seems to suffer the backlash from the plots she initiates.)
- Iris Stormcry (Air mage, and chosen of Humact - with a Doom Field comparable to that of Constance Veras).
The scenario: Something with a Doomsday Device. The Demon Weapon bash would have been ideal, although the universe may not have survived.
- ...though I suspect that Iris would have, because she survives everything. :) --Bluebottle
The party I would most like to be a part of for carving up linears, preferably ones with goblins or trolls. No squishy centre, if only because Eric's physrep can run...
- Kiram
- Sam
- Lucie
- Magical Eric
- Charles Weaver
- Sesqui or Lucius. Healing paladin, anyway.
Though it occurs to me that Nathaniel, Lucie, Edgar, Sam isn't a *truly* awful party... --Pufferfish
While I'm at it, Party Of People Who've Been To Bed With Lucie:
- Sam
- Charles Weaver
- Snipe
- Miriam
- Vlad
- Myrun
- That's a pretty damn good character party, actually. --Valtiel
- Tim, August, Alastair, Ebron, Esther, Levi,
- Skraal, Daramin, Sir William FitzWalters?, Alastair, Fizz, Nathaniel Argenta.
- Borric, Luthos, Kiram, Vladimir Karchev, Quintus
- Brother Gilbert, Rupert Salter, Edgar Folly, Eric, Mary, Panama.
--Jacob
- So, those would be the Necromancer Party, the Right Bastard Party, the Hard As Nails Party and the Possibly Inadvisable Ritual Magic Party? --Valtiel
- "Frothing psychos" rather than just "hard as nails" - Briggs and Charles don't feature; I was picking for attitude rather than just combat abilities. --Jacob
