Lisalotte is a Teutonian Child of the Light. She has been working as an active CoL in Teutonia (in the Zell-am-See chapter) after completing Foot of the Light training there before that and she is now seeking to advance her career in the church. To do so she applied for a transfer to a frontier posting, as a result she has been sent out from Teutonia to Albion to join the CoL chapter in Grantabrugge (reports back indicating that it could do with some bolstering from the old country after losing many people in 1289).

Lisalotte arrived ready to be shocked by what she might find - knowing that the church officials must be pretty slack to let the chapter break down as it has done, and rumour has it that the city is *still* a den of evil after all these years - but looking to forge a new life for herself and make Albionian friends, learn about the country, etc. Her placement has a minimum term of 3 years, although the norm is 5, so she has a vested interest in settling in and making Grantabrugge her new home.

On arrival, Lisalotte was initially assigned to the Foot of the Light but within days she had proved herself sufficiently in the new chapter to be promoted to her Teutonian rank, Brother-Corporal. She did this by partaking in an exorcism of the Wessex arms, to free it from an insiduous Taint of Vivamort that had fallen upon it, copies of the newspaper and the ritual circle within the bar.

Lisalotte settled in quickly to the routine of her duties, making a point of patrolling the Wessex Arms in the evenings because of its poor reputation, which she quickly realised was fully deserved. Befriending a lone Azraelite, Evangeline, she took it upon herself to improve the situation, usually through the medium of judicious (and injudicious!) Smiting.

Lisalotte has helped in the clearing of the tainted Black Library of Humact, several expeditions against the undead (including one that found and killed a lich), the vanquishing of shards of the undead-demon-god-ABOMINATION Richard of Unity and was instrumental in the arrest of Petrof the Damned. She has also done quite a bit of cleaning in the White College, and spent several nights in the Militia cells for various breaches of the peace (including an ill-fated attempt to arrest the Soul Traitor Rupert the Blue in the middle of the bar). With others, she uncovered a foul plot by Edgar the Demon-Loving Soul Traitor to work with demons and create a superweapon from human souls (namely the villagers of Nether Wallop), but this was resolved by a combination of angry mob and diplomacy to most people's satisfaction (except perhaps Lisalotte's). She did gain in popularity amongst the local peasants as a result, however.

After the Edgar incident Lisalotte was promoted to the order of Lightbringers, a fanatical and very keen sect of the Light who are importantly distanced enough from the main Grantabruggan Temple for their actions to have plausible political deniability. Lisalotte sees this as a great honour and recognition of her continuing service to the Light.

On 24th June 1291, after she had been in Grantabrugge for about a year, the Temple recieved news of a terrible and devastating magical explosion in Southern Teutonia, the epicentre of which was found to have been fairly near to Zell-am-See. Lisalotte's father was killed in the incident, the village itself being made unreachable due to having turned into part of a rapidly-settling new mountain range made of firey jagged rocks. Teutonian refugees flooded out of the country and Lisalotte made it a priority to help resettle those who travelled as far as Grantabrugge seeking shelter, remembering that she herself had been in a similar but more privileged position as a new arrival only a year before.

Lisalotte died whilst fighting the undead on the Arundel estate in order to protect the villagers of Hawton Greenfields, who were being attacked by the undead under the curse of the Midwife Moon. She ultimately gave her life by Ultimate Faith in an attempt to protect Evangeline by drawing the attention of Death away from her - and thus her final cry was actually answered by Azrael, rather than the Light.

A full history of Lisalotte can be found at http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~jcc46/LisalotteBackstory.pdf - be warned that this text is very long as was written entirely for my own satisfaction, it takes the form of her backstory told as flashbacks during the moment of her death, which does not even occur until page 3 (I suggest starting there if you are not me and wish to read it anyway). It is largely a lovely tale of state-controlled systemic corruption to the supernatural, but crucially the *right* supernatural. :p

Edit: the necromancer was called the Sexton, not the Curate.

Hey Lisalotte, what's it like in Grantabrugge? I'm a thousand miles away, but girl, tonight you look so pretty. Yes you do. No flame could shine as bright as you - I swear it's true. Hey Lisalotte, you be good and don't you miss me! Two more years and you'll be done out there and you'll be making history like you should. Like I always knew you would. We'll have the life we knew we could. My word is good. Hey Lisalotte, don't you worry about the distance. A thousand miles is very far, but you've got spirit messengers - and I'll write when there is anything to say. Some folks might make fun of us, but we'll just laugh along because we know that none of them have felt this way. Lisalotte, I can promise you, that by the time you get through, the world will never ever be the same. And you're to blame. Hey Lisalotte, I know times are getting hard but just believe me, girl, He wanted you to go so very far. You know it's all because of you that we can do whatever we want to - You're doing good. Hey Lisalotte here's to you, this one's for you.
