The Land of the Blind- set on the Plane of Sight Unseen.

PCs:

The PCs travelled to the plane of Sight Unseen (also known as The Land of the Blind) to combat Lothair, the One-Eyed King, and prevent him from conquering Gaul to rule as its hellish demon master.

===Final Battle===

In the eventual showdown, the PCs led the Resistance in an attack on the palace of the One Eyed King. The ritual performed that morning had empowered the spirit of the plane itself to throw off Lothair's control. This meant both that he would be mortal in the final battle and also that there would be a window of opportunity in which to wipe out his most powerful lieutenants before he could join the fight personally.

Initially the Resistance assaulted the gatehouse. Guards loyal to the red demon Vargo were stationed on the gate and, thanks to his bargain with the PCs, chose that moment to decide to go off duty. This allowed the PCs to easily assault the gates and drive off Imeldra Vane (played by porange), Lothair's chancellor who had taken over in his unexpected absence.

Carloman, Lothair's brother (NickTaylor) was the next Courtier on the scene. Once Lothair's enemy, he had been brainwashed by his older sibling and served as his bodyguard for the last 500 years. Having been reminded of his true identity by the PCs at the ball, he joined their forces and gave his life trying to hold the gatehouse for them.

A succession of courtiers entered the field, most of them being killed before they could escape. Some few did manage to survive long enough to join their master when he arrived though.

When Lothair did finally manage to finish his battle of will with Sight Unseen, his remaining court was reduced to Haldrix Vash the demon general (Dan Waldron), Queen Ermengarde (Kelpie), Rosalinde, queen's handmaiden (Sonja from Imperial), Yvoire, the queen's assassin (Matt from Imperial), Grentek Mal, the livestock officer (Canashir?), the spectral form of Danielle (Malselene) and Viktor Skarbeck, demonic spy (Chevron).

Over a close fought battle it seemed as though Lothair's forces would be victorious, with most of their enemies allies downed. Matthias was the last of the PCs standing and made a desperate attempt to kill Lothair in a beserk frenzy. He cut through most of the heavy bodyguards, including Haldrix, but was taken down by a double team from Yvoire and Viktor backstabbing him. However, his attack had diverted attention just long enough from the sole remaining Resistance healer (Locksmith), who managed to get Yuta back on his feet in a frankly amazing use of ninja combat surgery. Calling on his faith in Crafter, Yuta in turn managed to heal enough of his allies to turn the battle. Lothair was frozen in place by Shyn then cut down by Talis and Yuta. To stop the abomination returning, Talis threw himself over Lothair's body and sent both their souls to Azrael.

===Aftermath===

Matthias' last charge against Lothair, with no thought for his own safety, was the threat which forced Lothair and his courtiers on the defensive for key moments, snatching a chance for victory from what looked like certain defeat. When he fell his soul was taken by The Light to sit among his champions.

Yuta was bleeding to death himself at the end of the battle, the price of the healing channeled through him by Crafter. He lived just long enough to see his community victorious and say his last words.

For five centuries Lothair had been an abomination to Azrael and had enslaved the souls of thousands of mortals who should have gone to their deaths. Talis arrived at his god's side bearing the souls of all those mortals as well as the 500-year itch that couldn't be scratched. Enigmatic though Azrael may be, in this case it was pleased.

Shyn, who had made a deal with the Crones of Sight Unseen, was taken to join her new sisters as the Oracle of the plane, joining with it and ruling alongside the crones. She used her power to ensure her brother got home safely. What her soul mingling with the essence of the demon plane will do to it remains unknown.

With Lothair's death, the curse which had kept him trapped here started to unravel. All the souls trapped on the plane began to ascend alongside Talis and Lothair's to Azrael. The energy also took the surviving humans from back to the Prime- a handful of resistance fighters, villagers- along with Shyn's brother, Wilhelm, and Val. Wilhelm returned home safely, guided by the power of Sight Unseen which seemed to be steering his journey.

Haldrix Vash and Queen Ermengarde had come to something of an understanding, that if all went against them they would find each other again and then look for a new world to conquer. Together.

Yvoire and Viktor fled the field when their master died, as did the spectre Danielle.

Back in Grantabrugge, no-one admits to having seen Val and her whereabouts is unknown. A great number of the homeless children she had been friends with on the streets do seem to have vanished lately though. Coincidentally, among the most desperate and destitute of Grantabrugge there is a new urban myth about a holy order of demon-fighting priests who have found new purpose protecting the most vulnerable, taking them to a home across the sea. Probably just a story.
