Linear 1: Destroy the Trebuchets

A team of valiant heroes set out to destroy the trebuchets barring the escape of the Wessex Army. They successfully captured one, used it to destroy the other, and then set it on fire and ran, while Sir Edward remained behind to cover their retreat and died valiantly.

• Ana (took a direct hit from a trebuchet without noticing - clearly the Hibernians need better siege weapons)

I point out that "without noticing" really meant "had just taken potions to avoid being damaged by hits from trebuchets"... --Pufferfish

Linear 2: Rescue the King

A team of valiant heroes entered Dubhlin castle via a secret tunnel. They rescued King Samuel and a couple of other prisoners, and applied the size 10 1/2 Boot of the Light to the Witch Queen but several of them were themselves captured or killed.

Linear 3: 'Rescue' the Treasure

A team of valiant heroes (check this - Ed) intercepted the Norscans trying to deliver the King's treasure chest to the Hibernians. They were able to secure the chest, but unable to get it to the rendezvous point where they were being picked up to escape. A couple of them were left behind.
