After some more time, a third personality emerged all on it's own. This was a Air Mage called Thomas. While Thess and Thomas had no idea of anyone else's existence, Rainart was increasingly concerne by periods of blackness and finding odd items in his posession.
This all came to head when Rainart was present in the Wessex Arms, and attempted to attack one of the sorrows. Reflexes taking over, and to his great surprise, Rainart cast the Level 1 Blue spell, gust, repelling the fae creature. Initially in denial and blaming it on a nearby aerokin, Rainart offered to undergo compel truth to clear his name, but when that wasn't feasible he began to accept his suspicions and reported to the Temple of the Light for exorcism.
The following week, Rainart returned to the bar to continue investigating the fae tournament he had heard about the previous week. Having come to a full understanding of the seriousness of his situation, and seeing Thess' book left in the bar, he deduced that the alchemist and air mage who lived in his head had also been in the bar that evening. Incidentally, he soon got marked by the Sorrow of Malady because he wasn't paying attention, and part of the ceiling fell on him, so sounded quite crazy trying to explain (and indeed he was.) Sitting down in the collapsing bar, marked with malady, seeing fae dance around witht he bar's inhabitants seemingly entertaining them, and realising he had no control over the things he did and was in fact a danger to innocents everywhere, Rainart managed to convince one of the patrons to lend him a dagger (he had left his own behind) and promptly began an execute count on himself. He was wrestled into submission and knocked out, and I'm currently thinking he in some way died then, and never returned to occupation of his body again.
The concept of Rainart came about when I heard one past ref team allowed multiple people to play various aliases of one character, provided there was some way that their memories would not be precise between aliases. Trying to figure out how this could ever apply, I originally considered playing Rainart, Thess and Thomas with three different people. Unfortunately it was very OC difficult to coordinate without giving the game away if someone didn't want to do it, so I ended up playing them all myself. His stat sheet is horrendous, and while probably not thee craziest sheet ever to exist, it is still pretty weird. Due to needing to buy lit and numeracy (something I hadn't considered at the start,) it was quite a rush to fit in all the skills I wanted (ie up to Blue lv. 1 spell) in the year on the 1 or 2 XP he got a week.
