Proctor Cuirass is an Alchemist undertaking the study of transmutation at the Alchemists Guild in Grantabrugge. She was originally a local farm girl with some promise, who fulfilled her general noviceship within the last five years and since then has been experimenting with earths and metals happily under her own supervision. She can make some of the Healers' potions but rarely feels the need, her own interests not being held by plants.
In late August of last year, Proctor had an accident involving the heating of a lidded glass jar containing a corrosive and volatile mixture, in the resulting explosion she sadly lost her sight and her face was badly burned. Nevertheless, after a period of healing she returned to the Guild which was her only life since her education and has been attempting to carry on as before, with some success. She supplements her income by the sale of rat poisons and assorted other pest control work.
