Requiem/RaggedRascal

I was bored on the cycle back from work, so I made up a song. It's not actually to any well-known tune - in fact, it's not to much of a tune at all.

 Refrain: slowly, marcato, wihout any swing to it
 The rag-
 Ged Ras-
 Cal ran around the rocks;
 The rag-
 Ged Ras-
 Cal ran around the rocks;
 He ran
 Around
 The walls of cities too;
 And girl,
 He ran
 Around the rocks for you.

 Verse; if there's a guitar, it starts here.
 He once knew, many years ago,
 A girl, who stole his heart.
 She hid it, under her pillow,
 And tore it all apart.

 Refrain: an octave higher than the first time, and legato with a swing to it
 The ragged rascal ran around the rocks;
 The ragged rascal ran around the rocks;
 He ran around the walls of cities too:
 And girl, he ran around the rocks for you!

 Verse.
 He sang her name, from the mountains,
 And cried it to the deeps,
 And all she could say was, "O ragged rascal!"
 "I'm not yours, and I never will be."

 Refrain, as the second, with more feeling and less swing
 The ragged rascal ran around the rocks!
 The ragged rascal ran around the rocks!
 He ran around the walls of cities too!
 And girl! He ran! Around the rocks for you!

 Verse.
 She spurned him, as she always had,
 And at last, he turned away,
 And the running shoes, of the ragged rascal,
 Took one last step...

 Refrain, as the previous
 The ragged rascal ran around the rocks!
 The ragged rascal ran around the rocks!
 He ran around the walls of cities too!
 And girl! He ran! Around the rocks for you!

 Verse.
 And if you look, under the cypresses,
 To see, what you will see,
 Then you'll find, the ragged rascal,
 A-hanging from the tree.

 Refrain, last time, back to pitch of first refrain. Sadly, but with the correct rhythm this time.
 The ragged rascal ran around the rocks;
 The ragged rascal ran around the rocks;
 He ran around the walls of cities too:
 And girl, he ran around the rocks for you.
