 1. Who are you?
Astrid Olafsdottir, formerly of Triplicity, now somewhat accidental Humacti.

 2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?
Not of blood; my parents died when I was four. The other children in the commune counted as siblings, though.

 3. How old are you?
Twenty-eight summers

 4. What's your height?
Around five and a half feet, by Albionese measurements. Are you trying to fit me for new clothes?

 5. Are you a virgin?
Ahahaha. No.

 6. Who's your mate/spouse?
Never had one. I could have settled down with Ivan, had he lived, but I did not know it at the time.

 7. Do you have any kids?
No. I am not in a position to raise them in a stable home, so alchemy it is.

 8. What's your favorite food?
Anything cooked in an actual kitchen rather than shot, skinned and roasted in the field.

 9. Have you killed anyone?
A few, over the years. Plenty of fae and undead, though there are always more, however many you put down.

 10. Have any secrets?
Not really. There are things I don't bring up in conversation, like how I'm not in Norsca any more...

 11. Do you love anyone?
Ivan.

 12. What is your job?
Shooting things in the name of Humact. And recently, help with the cleanup job in the temple library, because I'm one of the few people who can cope with both blood and Lucian the librarian...

 13. Boy or girl?
I like boys, but I prefer men. Strong ones, ideally paladins.

 14. What do you do to relax?
Drink in dodgy bars. The Wessex Arms is something of a challenge.

 15. There's a person who's teasing you; what could you do?
Twang... thunk.

 16. Let's say you have a person who you really care about but she/he doesn't know about your feelings. How do you tell her/him?
Past experience suggests that I have bedded them a few times already by then, so raising the subject is not all that difficult.

 17. What do you regret most in life?
That Ivan died only a few miles away from where I was at the time, and neither of us knew of the other's presence.

1. Your character is being announced at the Royal Ball by the most pompous, enthusiastic and long-winded Master of Ceremonies in recorded history. What do they declaim?

Astrid Ola... Ol.... Dammit, these Norscans have difficult names... Olafsdottir of Humact

 2. Give a 6-word backstory and/or history for your character, prior to their entering play - it is needed for the character bio on the back cover of this season's DVD.

"Ex-priest seeks fresh start; finds it."

 3. However improbable it may seem, your character just won a boasting competition. What was their winning boast?

"So the angel spent the night with me, and..."

 4. Your character loses a hand irrevocably, and is given the opportunity to have something grafted on to replace it. What do they pick?

I assume "another hand" is not an option here, so let's go with a repeating crossbow. That doesn't need the remaining hand to fire it, ideally.

 5. What one impossible thing would you most like to have, be, or be able to do, in order to better physrep your character?

Some semblance of grace and poise? :p

 6. Your character is asked by their immediate superior which one thing they would choose to save from their dwelling, were it on fire. Sensing that a flippant answer is not called for, how do they instead answer?

The small pile of Ivan's belongings. They're holy relics, you know...

 7. Your character was abducted by Nightmares (or local equivalent) on the way out of the Arms, and wakes up in a sack (just as armed as they left the pub). What do they have in their pockets, and what one further thing do they wish they had also picked up from home this morning?

Pencil and paper. Bandages. Crossbow and bolts. A few shillings tucked in the underwear. A dagger. The extra thing would be the Humacti angstletter, because cliche would require it to be there.

 8. Your character's life is flashing before their eyes. Describe briefly any two of the following: Leaving their childhood home. Losing their first love. The first time they killed. The first time they lost a comrade. Another occasion on which they nearly died. A time they lowered their standards. A time they abandoned hope. Something that terrified them.

"Leaving home was rather sudden, and involved the temple's fastest horse and a pile of valuables in a saddlebag. Fortunately they were too busy arguing to notice until I was a day's ride away..."

"Lowered standards? Well, I fucked a Lightist in Kernow, because it was cold and we needed *something* to remind us of what being human was about..."

 9. Your character wakes up in a Militia cell with no clear memories of their last few hours. Given time to think it over, why will they conclude they are there?

Most likely, having shot the wrong (or "wrong") person in a confused melee.

 10. Your character was obliged to leave town. As they fled, they left messages with a trusted friend. Most of them dealt with religious and social obligations, and put in place provision for their return (or otherwise) - but they found time for one quick personal note. Who is it to, and roughly what does it say?

I struggled over this one for a while until realising that all of Astrid's friends are dead. She'd probably drop a note with an urchin that said goodbye to everyone in the Wessex Arms.
