After years working as an archivist in the Hegemony, Caletor came to believe that the strongest Paradigm in the world was the Rightful Heir revealing themselves and embarking on a Quest to regain the Throne and restore Justice to the Realm, and joined the Mages' Guild to pursue this further. Not being cut out for the executive branch he took on the role of the Wise Councillor who guides the Heir to their true Birthright.
Of course, the lack of an Heir or of any Throne to restore them to were facts that he cheerfully ignored: clearly they were merely In Hiding, or held captive by Villains. He made exactly no progress in his Quest during his time in Mat Sellah, although he did manage to help defend the Portal Zone from pirates - immediately before getting killed by Hellions because he refused to submit to Creatures of Evil.
He was, by a matter of seconds, the first PC to die in the entire system. Dulce et decorum est. ^_^
