This meme now refers to Dot's reality in The Book of Blake, which is different to the reality inhabited by most characters!

1. Who are you?

Dot Fenugreek. Pleased to meet you.

2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?

Yes, I see them every now and again.

3. How old are you?

What's that got to do with anything? I'm still young!

4. What's your height?

About six foot? I've been told I'm too tall for a girl.

5. Have you killed anyone?

Noone who wasn't coming back.

6. Who's your mate/spouse?

Argus Fenugreek, most successful fisherman in the county.

7. Do you have any kids?

Blake is my son. Yes, thee Blake.

8. What's your favorite food?

It's this kind of thinking that's so wrong with the world. You probably don't even realise there's anything wrong with what you said, do you? All food (drink, books, whatever,) are to be enjoyed. If I eat something which tastes pleasant, so much the better for me. If it doesn't, then I take pleasure in the fact that I'm experiencing something that I'm not yet familiar with. It's probably good for me too. If I don't eat anything at all, the not only will I be closer to Sordan, but the next time I do eat I'll enjoy it even more!

9. Are you a virgin?

Sshh! He gets all agitated if he hears me talking about that kind of thing! But no.

10. Have any secrets?

I can't let Argus find out Blake is still alive, but he said he expects me to keep some things from him, so it's fine.

11. Do you love anyone?

My husband Argus: I'm a very lucky girl! I also love Sordan, and I love my son Blake.

12. What is your job?

In the summer I stay with Argus and help him with netting and curing the eels. We also sell a little alchemy that we make up in some of our spare evenings. We set several barrels of elvers aside to keep stocks up during the Winter months. In winter I work for Sir. Blake duPres in his mansion, and Argus moves into the gamekeeper's and takes care of the animals that live on the grounds.

13. Boy of girl?

Both?

14. What do you do to relax?

Visit the Wessex Arms, spend time with Argus (sometimes he takes me questing), go and see my son if he's in town, pray with Verity and Brutus, play tricks on the Justicars and Lightists, learn a little more Tomten or alchemy... I've got plenty to do to keep me busy!

15. There's a person who's teasing you; what could you do?

At my most blatant, I could have them seized and held in place by Angels of Sordan as I sliced them open and devoured their own entrails before their eyes... but it depends on what kind of mood I'm in, I suppose.

16. Let’s say you have a person who you really care about but she/he doesn’t know about your feelings. How do you tell her/him?

You know, I can't remember how that happened with my Argus... how we first met even. I'll have to think about it, or ask him when he thought it happened. I'm as close with his family as I am to my own brothers and sisters, and vices versa, though his mother is a bit clingy.

17. What do you regret most in life?

I no longer regret losing people in my life; they can always come back! I regret not getting tortured by Sordan when he came to visit due to being too busy tending to others. Maybe one day he'll call to see me again.

18. Do you like your maker?

Oh yes. And yours too, of course!

19. What do you fear?

I have nothing to fear now. Anything happening to Blake would be bad, but he's big and strong enough now to look after himself. Sometimes I think I should be worried that perhaps none of this is real, but it doesn't. Sordan is satisfied that the people here are sentient, and if it's real for Him then it's real for me!

20. How do you look different to your player?

Dot is a female elf. Dot's arms are not even slightly hairy. Her face is thinner, she slouches more, and os generally paler. Her hair is also more blonde than mine.

21. What are your hobbies or entertainments?

Most of the things I mentioned about relaxing. I find it easy to enjoy my life.

23. What is your home like?

Our house in the countryside is pretty much as I'd always remembered; I was glad when I asked Argus about all the things in his house that he told me nothing had changed; there are still the little rows of vegetables and flowers in garden, the stone wall at the back, the pile of blankets and furs for bedding; though we did get a lot of nice shiny new metal kitchenware and cutelry sets as wedding presents from our friends and families when they found out!

Sir. Blake had some work done on the mansion so it's actually a bit more like a castle now; there are also a lot of other servants so I can afford to leave him alone every now and then! It has a maze that you can get lost in for hours at a time, and a lot of wildlife on the site; the voles are useful because we can make healing salves from their ears, but when their population gets too large they can tear up the garden. Luckily the foxes soon fix this situation themselves. We get a few wolves passing through; Argus has taken a shine to two of them and they know his voice and now mine too. He keeps kenneled and fed out behind his hut over winter, and they're starting to get very big! We've named them Tiberius and Svetlana.

22. How do you support yourself?

Argus supports me. I do a bit of work for Sir. Blake as I said, but I don't really need to as Argus just gets so many customers.

24. What are your most cherished possessions?

The Holy Symbol Argus gave me, our wedding ring... our friends are usually more important than posessions!

25. What are you proudest of?

I'm proud of my son, and my husband, and Sir. Blake duPres in some ways too.

26. What are you most ashamed of or feel most guilty about?

I sometimes worry that in a sense I've abandoned my friends in some other reality, but it doesn't last long. People here are much more fun, and I'm generally capable of doing more good here anyway.

27. Under what circumstances is it justifiable to resort to violence?

For fun. To put on a show. When cornered. When something needs done.

28. What you kill for? What would you die for?

I would kill or die for my god, though he'd prefer me to avoid doing either. I would kill someone who betrayed my trust. Quickly and painlessly, in their sleep.

29. What would you refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?

Well, there are things I would claim to refuse to do under any circumstances, in the hope that someone would try and make me. I would never betray my friends or my god. I would never pass by a chance to serve him.

30. What do you dream about?

This and that, you know. Often I don't remember.

31. What is your fondest memory?

There are lots of them. Memories of my mother, my brothers and sisters, of parties in the old days and doing a good job. When I was in old Grantabrugge: going ice skating with Argus, some of the tricks I played with Verity, looking after Argus when he was sick, and the birth of my son. I have a lot of good memories with Blake in Arcadia too. I've made a lot of new memories since returning to Grantabrugge too; every memory is a story, and stories have power.

32. What is your worst memory?

I have few bad memories. Of course, when I was young and didn't understand why my mother did some of the things she did, some of those memories still make me feel odd even now that they make perfect sense. Some things I remember make me very angry indeed, but those are more recent.

33. What or who was your most significant influence? Expound.

Probably my mother for preparing me for life and for the world. She taught me about Sordan and truth from as soon as I could understand, and I'm infinitely grateful for that. She also taught me to keep a secret, and not to trust anyone. I hope my sons listens to my advice. I consider myself to be quite influential, in a way.

34. What do you believe makes a successful life?

Living a rich life, full of suffering, joy and a wide range of experience.

35. What makes you laugh?

Jokes, pain (my own or others'), irony, futility, and big ideas about to come together. Argus is always able to make me grin, even when I don't want to.

36. What are your religious views?

Devout Sordanite.

37. What is your greatest strength?

Ermmm...... hmm. I'll get back to you.

38. Do you have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?

If you can believe that my son's perfect, why shouldn't I be too?

39. Who is the most important person in your life?

It's hard to say. Do you count Sordan? Otherwise Argus, or my son Blake.

40. If you died or went missing, who would miss them most?

That's an odd question... I suppose Blake almost by definition... "If I died or went missing"... that in itself is a difficult concept right now.

41. How would you describe yourself?

Tall, young, curious, spiritually awakened... Argus says I'm beautiful, and I find it hard to protest! Very very happy. :)

42. How would others describe you?

I can only imagine...

1. Your character is being announced at the Royal Ball by the most pompous, enthusiastic and long-winded Master of Ceremonies in recorded history. What do they declaim?

Lady Fenugreek-Sylke, Summoner of Sordan, Servant of Sacrafice, Mother of the Oni Blake, Killer of Kittens, Merchant of Souls, Savior and Banished of Humact, Slayer of Kings, Pyrokin, and Living Mortal, whose name is permanently inscribed in The Book of The Undeserving.

2. Give a 6-word backstory and/or history for your character, prior to their entering play - it is needed for the character bio on the back cover of this season's DVD.

Failed Servant Seeks Redemption, Biding Time...

3. However improbable it may seem, your character just won a boasting competition. What was their winning boast?

Personally stabbed Humact in the back. Right between the shoulder blades.

4. Your character loses a hand irrevocably, and is given the opportunity to have something grafted on to replace it. What do they pick?

A branding iron.

5. What one impossible thing would you most like to have, be, or be able to do, in order to better physrep your character?

Body shape of a lady elf (in the "able to do" category!)

6. Your character is asked by their immediate superior which one thing they would choose to save from their dwelling, were it on fire. Sensing that a flippant answer is not called for, how do they instead answer?

"You" in most cases, her son Blake or Holy Artefacts if they are present.

7. Your character was abducted by Nightmares (or local equivalent) on the way out of the Arms, and wakes up in a sack (just as armed as they left the pub). What do they have in their pockets, and what one further thing do they wish they had also picked up from home this morning?

In bag: 1 Concealed Dagger, 1 Concealed Hook, a trashy novel, possibly a body part, an unconcealed dagger, some throwing knives, various potions depending on the occasion.
Wish picked up from home: a long sword.

8. Your character's life is flashing before their eyes. Describe briefly any two of the following: Leaving their childhood home. Losing their first love. The first time they killed. The first time they lost a comrade. Another occasion on which they nearly died. A time they lowered their standards. A time they abandoned hope. Something that terrified them.

"Come on," said Argus, standing up. She raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Come on? You want me to go back with you?" He smiled grimly. She got hurriedly to her feet and took his arm. "Tell me," he said as they walked back. "What was all that about me not being able to use the room last week? Were you tearing your house apart or something?" She blushed. "Oh Argus... you've had enough excitement for now, don't you think?" "No, I really want to know," he said, almost playfully. "You won't like it Argus. Trust me. You really don't want to know." "I'm really sure I want to know," he said with a slight sing-song in his voice. "Well... perhaps you'd better sit down again..." Argus obediently sat in the gutter with his back to the Wessex Arms. "Well, you remember that time I had that scroll of Arcanophage, and I went outside with Verity to destroy it? Well, I actually destroyed another scroll instead." "I didn't see it go off, yes..." replied Argus. "So... I thought, now that we'd found a proper cure for Arcanophage and we could get more and we knew it wasn't going to kill you or anything, I put the scroll in your bed..." Argus was staring in wide-eyed fear, his mouth hanging open. "You were going to... do you know how long that took to-" "But I changed my mind Argus! When you said that if you caught it again you'd die! I don't want you to die Argus, really! It's just... when you were sick you suffered so beautifully..." Abruptly Argus shoved himself to his feet. He shook his head in astonishment. "Dot Sylke, you are a card!" he cried, and strode towards a door in a way that obviously wasn't meant to be followed. He disappeared inside. She held her breath, then fell back against the wall and slid to the ground. She held her head back to the light rain that was falling, eyes closed. A few minutes passed, then she opened the crumpled letter in her hand and read it one more time...

9. Your character wakes up in a Militia cell with no clear memories of their last few hours. Given time to think it over, why will they conclude they are there?

Someone found out I'm a Sordanite! Or someone ratted me out... escape at all costs, then seek vengeance!

10. Your character was obliged to leave town. As they fled, they left messages with a trusted friend. Most of them dealt with religious and social obligations, and put in place provision for their return (or otherwise) - but they found time for one quick personal note. Who is it to, and roughly what does it say?

Brutus- I am proud that you have learned so much since we first met. Initially, you understood only the wild lashings on the Path of the Whip, but you have learned much of the subtelties on the Path of the Hook. The Temple will need people like you in the coming months. Don't fuck up.
