I'm a guard at the Temple of Lloth, though I have a little leave to study more magic for now.

The College would probably notice after a while. I was a little surprised to find out that during my recent... vacation... a few humans were discussing a plan to bring me back.

When not studying magic or working at the Temple I try to gain some experience of the Overbright before I shall return home.
I like to experience the stars of the Overbright when I am not strictly required, Night Mother.

I come from a wealthy family.

I have no pockets, but there are throwing knives on the belt. Wish I picked up a helmet.

Cygnet glanced over his shoulder. So much for those potions. That zombie had cleaved both his arms right through the armour, and even the kobolds here seemed pretty well organised. Ahead was a Blue and Yellow demon connected into some strange machine by tubes and wires. The others began investigating it, but Cygnet's attention was elsewhere. What was that noise? Something behind him? He sniffed the air. His nostrils were stung by the smell of spilled industrial alchemicals and the biochemistry of the demon-machine. A warning sound played. Lawrence destroyed the demon, and the party moved forward. Cygnet checked behind them again. The rounded a corner, and saw some more kobolds ahead. He looked behind. The kobolds crept closer as the party stood where they were. "Now!" one of them shouted, as Cygnet was struck by a searing pain in his back, the everything went white.
He awoke to the sting of the strange armoured Wallachian pouring more of the strong scented spirit into his wounds. He winced and tried to issue a thank-you under his breath. He could feel a burning tingle down his back. White magic. Invisibility. He pushed himself up, and looked around. Machines clanked, smoke poured from round the corner where the demon machine lay. The armoured humans were bent over investigating some kind of artefact, among them the Chief of the Foot of the Light. He uncertainly backward along the corridor, but noone was paying any attention to him. He picked up speed as he rounded the corner and broke into a run back through the empty portion of the warehouse, crashes and bangs and smells and imagined white mages assaulting him as he fled.
9. Your character wakes up in a Militia cell with no clear memories of their last few hours. Given time to think it over, why will they conclude they are there?
Probably tried to stop some human from doing something stupid just because they don't have a law for it again.
10. Your character was obliged to leave town. As they fled, they left messages with a trusted friend. Most of them dealt with religious and social obligations, and put in place provision for their return (or otherwise) - but they found time for one quick personal note.
