On the upcoming Saturday, so tomorrow, there will be some punting. Punt is booked from 1400-1800, to give plenty of time to head upriver, and will cost £notmuch per person depending on numbers. Currently there is one punt organised. If more than six people wish to punt, someone will need to organise another punt from somewhere.

Anyone up for punting this Saturday (1st of October)? I was thinking punting to the meadows.
Currently it looks like I can get a scuda punt for 9 quid for an hour, and it can fit up to 6 people (one of that is me, other is Chevron, who can punt well, the rest is up for grabs).
Provisional time is set as 2 pm, and probably going for 2 hours, maybe 3.

:I suggest not doing scudamores. Depending on availability, I might be able to swipe the clare punt for three/hour. Who else is in a river college? --Tea

:I also submit the idea of punting on the 8th. I should have A. still, and we don't have any particular schedule. --Tea

::I just proposed scuda because I'm at Christ's and Chevron said he probably can't get a Queens' punt. But if you Tea, or anyone else can get a cheap one, that would be pretty cool. --Shyndree
:::Trinity punts are cheaper than Scudamores and hire to anyone (possibly only university members, but they aren't Trinity only) --Pufferfish
::::Do you know if Trinity are still hiring punts? If Queens' still are I'll just take a Queens' punt. Do you know whether Trinity let you take theirs over the rollers? --Chevron
:::::Trinity appear to be doing so, but at more than Scuds. Queens hire punts, I don't know how openly. --Tea
::::::Yeah, Queens' hire punts, but only during the "Summer", I think they'll have stopped by now, and perhaps Trinity also. --Chevron

Chevron and Shyndree, plus potential others, intend to punt on the 1st. (I got two of my friends to come, but two more people can come with us. And I have cupcakes :) Also the weather is lovely, isn't it? The forecast is the same for tomorrow. Best weather for punting.)

The sun is shining (apart from when it is obscured by rain), exams are over and this in combination would suggest it is time for punting!

So, punting is proposed, possibly day punting rather than night punting.

Currently there's at least one bookable punt sometime Tuesday or Wednesday from Queens', which will be only a few quid.

Current preference: Wednesday

Punting: 4-6 wednesday, suggest meeting 3:45 outside queens' plodge

Current people:

Porange

Locksmith (can't do evenings, also unable to do actual punting.)

Corin can perform acts of puntery.

Locksmith can try booking a punt or two from Queens' for a few quid. They're popular though, so if people will decide on a day then she can get to it, because timing will likely be a matter of "When is there a slot?"

Times free:

Porange: Around till the 31st of june

Locksmith: Around til 1st of July

Only 30 days in June....
::That's what you think. It's all part of the master plan. You'll see. You'll all see...

The sun is shining, the birds are singing...

It is (still) the season to float gently upon a body of water in a wooden container. Aka punting. Quite possibly night punting, with a picnic on a punt.

Didn't manage it last week, so... anyone fancy going out this Sunday, the 22nd of August? -- Canashir
