LD70, 6mm thick, sheets of 1.7m * 0.85m. Three sheets required:
LD45, arbitrary thicknesses, sheets 2x1m.
Order done.
It had ended up going up by about a quid per sheet. Prices inclusive of vat, and of each person's share of postage proportional to overall order price.
I'm wanting to get some LD70 foam for making solid/heavy shields from, and generally experimenting with. However, TVS has a minimum order of 3 sheets per thickness, and I'm not so enthused by buying 6m^2 of foam for an experiment.
Does anybody else want some? Preferred thicknesses? As a guideline, you can get roughly one large shield from a sheet of foam if you're making a 3 layer laminate.
This foam is probably too dense for making weapon blades/striking surfaces.
Right. A rough plan. LD70 foam, 6mm of thickness. Price before VAT and shipping £21/sheet. I am not interested in dealing in smaller units than half-sheets. Sheets are 1.7m x 0.85m
Current plan: This will also include a general foam order. Tea will be placing it, date approximately the end of April (after student loan). Please sort out half sheets etc among yourselves. Place other desired foam below this point.
Sean told me that sheets of higher density foam are usually smaller so we should check up on that if you haven't already. It may also be worth getting a price from Skian Mhor for this in case Sean can get hold of some and bring it to an event which is usually economic as postage on foam is expensive. I did also once have a chat with these people: http://www.polyformes.co.uk/ and they were happy to do individual sheets of LD70 @1700x850mm but frankly their prices for LD45 weren't even slightly competitive for LD45 so they're probably no better for LD70. --dp
