1. Who are you?

Marrick of Hornechapel, Squire to Sir Ulfred. Not Socks, thankyou very much.

2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?

Certainly, two older brothers

3. How old are you?

20.

4. What's your height?

5'2", Yes, I am more than aware I am of low stature, I politely request that you refrain from making jokes about this.

5. Are you a virgin?

A gentleman never tells

6. Who's your mate/spouse?

It could be considered to be the calling of knighthood

7. Do you have any kids?

No!

8. What's your favorite food?

Bread and cheese, easily transportable, good for going on adventures with.

9. Have you killed anyone?

No, although, I suspect that one day I will have to

10. Have any secrets?

Naturally, it is hard to live 20 years without acquiring some.

11. Do you love anyone?

Depending on definations, yes or no

12. What is your job?

Squire to Sir Ulfred, I don't get paid.

13. Boy or girl?

Sir, are you implying that I look like a girl? I will be forced to defend my honour with my sword if you continue in this vein...

14. What do you do to relax?

Seemingly go to the local tavern. My job is pretty much 24 hour.

15. There's a person who's teasing you; what could you do?

I would challenge them to a duel, as is honourable is such situations

16. Let’s say you have a person who you really care about but she/he doesn’t know about your feelings. How do you tell her/him?

I would offer down my life in service to them and to defend their honour.

17. What do you regret most in life?

I do not have any regrets as of yet, I am sure I will acquire many over my life.

18. Do you like your maker?

Yes, although I wish I were taller

19. What do you fear?

A knight must be fearless in battle. However, while not in battle I mainly fear getting caught

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?

I would kill in defence of Sir Ulfred, honour and a just cause. I would also die for these causes willingly.

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?

Betray my master, my honour or my duties.

3. What do they dream about? [Either literal or figurative].

Knighthood, being able to go forth on quests for honour!

4. What’s their biggest fear?

Being caught out, or failing.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?

I am not telling you that!

6. What is their fondest memory?

The transition from page to squire, how I was one step closer to knighthood.

7. What is their worst memory?

Hitting 20, realising I was still not a knight...

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.

Sir Ulfred of course, and also someone else...

9. What do they believe makes a successful life?

The pursuit of honour

10. What makes them laugh?

So very many things.

11. What are their religious views?

I follow my master, his views, as such, are my views.

12. What is their greatest strength?

I am quick of thought and quicker to duck

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?

I have a sharp tongue at times, which is all too frequently too quick for my own good. I would describe my pursuit of honour as more a fatal virtue.

14. Who is the most important person in their life?

Sir Ulfred, naturally

15. If they died or went missing, who would miss them most?

Sir Ulfred would certainly be lost without me, he would not miss me as such though, only my actions.

16. How would they describe themselves?

A squire, a man of honour and integrity, who will one day become a knight in the pursuit of good.

17. How would others describe them?

Apparently I look like a girl and significantly younger than I am, and people think me a bit of a fool.

Jacob's Meme

How do you look different to your player?

Same height, generally more boyish, with a longish narrow face and wavier, blonder hair.

What are your hobbies or entertainments?

My training to become a knight is my life

How do you support yourself?

Sir Ulfred provides my bed and board.

What is your home like?

More a room, small, little bed, brown walls, a tiny desk and a large trunk. It's quite barren really, a knight should not live in luxury.

What are your most cherished possessions?

I am not telling you that.

What are you proudest of?

To have progressed this far in my training, without significant injury.

What are you most ashamed of or feel most guilty about?

That, age 20, having been in service 10 years, I am still not a knight. Perhaps I am not worthy of such an honour?

Under what circumstances is it justifiable to resort to violence?

Defence of honour and loved ones. For a just cause.

1. Your character is being announced at the Royal Ball by the most pompous, enthusiastic and long-winded Master of Ceremonies in recorded history. What do they declaim?

Hmmm... I belive there would be hushed tones and a "Squire Marrick is here to take Sir Ulfred home... finally" I cannot see myself being announced properly

2. Give a 6-word backstory and/or history for your character, prior to their entering play - it is needed for the character bio on the back cover of this season's DVD.

Hapless knight in training causes misunderstandings

3. However improbable it may seem, your character just won a boasting competition. What was their winning boast?

A knight should not boast, however, I am not yet a knight so presumably something along the lines of "I once slayed a dragon and saved the princess", a knight shoudl also not lie.

4. Your character loses a hand irrevocably, and is given the opportunity to have something grafted on to replace it. What do they pick?

Anything capable of holding a sword!

5. What one impossible thing would you most like to have, be, or be able to do, in order to better physrep your character?

I reckon ability to nto be a girl would be kind of useful here

6. Your character is asked by their immediate superior which one thing they would choose to save from their dwelling, were it on fire. Sensing that a flippant answer is not called for, how do they instead answer?

Of course, it would be Sir Ulfred asking, so I would have to answer "your sword sir" but actually it would be my cat.

7. Your character was abducted by Nightmares (or local equivalent) on the way out of the Arms, and wakes up in a sack (just as armed as they left the pub). What do they have in their pockets, and what one further thing do they wish they had also picked up from home this morning?

I don't have pockets, i'd only put my hands in them and look untidy. So ideally I would want a magical sword and a pair of scissors.

8. Your character's life is flashing before their eyes. Describe briefly any two of the following: Leaving their childhood home. Losing their first love. The first time they killed. The first time they lost a comrade. Another occasion on which they nearly died. A time they lowered their standards. A time they abandoned hope. Something that terrified them

Watching a house disappear into the distance from the back of a horse that is slightly too big. Rising to the bait of the word Socks. Repeatedly

9. Your character wakes up in a Militia cell with no clear memories of their last few hours. Given time to think it over, why will they conclude they are there?

Starting fights. Not finishing them well enough.

10. Your character was obliged to leave town. As they fled, they left messages with a trusted friend. Most of them dealt with religious and social obligations, and put in place provision for their return (or otherwise) - but they found time for one quick personal note. Who is it to, and roughly what does it say?

"Sir, I have left my replacement with full instructions"
