 1. Who are you?

I was Brother Florian Guelder, novice of the Order of the Whetstone. I am now simply Florian Guelder, those bridges have been burned, but their ashes still stay.

2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?

...Yes, I have a twin sister. Lady Caprifolia. She would unlikely now have it that I am her brother, but I speak the truth, blood stays.

3. How old are you?

21

4. What's your height?

Unfortunately "not very", more unfortunately "not as tall as my sister"

5. Are you a virgin?

I was a monk!

6. Who's your mate/spouse?

Merrilyn of Laeknir

7. Do you have any kids?

Of course not

8. What's your favorite food?

I retain a certain fondness for lemon tarts from my youth

9. Have you killed anyone?

Fortunately no, though in my training there were a few close calls.

10. Have any secrets?

Regardless of how the Lady feels I do not hold secrets, a secret taken to the grave becomes a lie...

11. Do you love anyone?

Yes

12. What is your job?

It is my role to tend the animals, to ensure that their injuries are treated, I also serve those who serve Humact. In Grantabrugge this continues but I seem to treat people more frequently. This remains regardless of my faith, what I am will not change.

13. Boy or girl?

I am male

14. What do you do to relax?

Largely I liked to go for long walks though the Abbey's gardens

15. There's a person who's teasing you; what could you do?

I do not believe I should use sharp words or raise arms in anger, that is not my place.

16. Let’s say you have a person who you really care about but she/he doesn’t know about your feelings. How do you tell her/him?

Apparently when I am going to do something that I think will get me killed

17. What do you regret most in life?

I regret little other than the few times I have slipped and lost my temper. Perhaps that Humact does not speak to me directly, though I know it is not a role meant for all.

18. Do you like your maker?

Of course

19. What do you fear?

The death of others. Many of the faith I followed would claim "turnign traitor to all I stand for" but I have done that.

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?

I would not take another mortal life. I would die the death required of me.

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?

Break the oath I swore. This has been proved true.

3. What do they dream about? [Either literal or figurative].

Not a lot if I am honest, I would like the world to be a simpler place quite often

4. What’s their biggest fear?

Turning traitor to my order and all they have strived for... In some ways I have lived this, in others I have upheld what they would have done.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?

I do not believe there is anything I would refuse to part with

6. What is their fondest memory?

Simple days in the abbey

7. What is their worst memory?

Have you ever rejected your own god, who you follow with heart mind and soul, because you knew that to be your only choice?

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.

The abbot taught me a lot it must be said

9. What do they believe makes a successful life?

Doing your duty, to the end.

10. What makes them laugh?

I tend not to get jokes...

11. What are their religious views?

I believe I am currently Theologically Interesting to say the least... Lay Vivamortian perhaps...

12. What is their greatest strength?

I am remarkably restrained

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?

I sometimes let things that test my patience get too close to winning.

14. Who is the most important person in their life?

Ultimately I must admit that this is Caprifolia, though it pains me

15. If they died or went missing, who would miss them most?

Merry

16. How would they describe themselves?

A traitor to all yet none.

17. How would others describe them?

I asked the gardener at the Abbey to explain what someone meant once, apparently it was a compliment... Though I really, really don't understand...

Jacob's Meme

How do you look different to your player?

Aside from being male he is slightly taller and his hair is less gingery and he has a continual expression of good natured confusion

More androgynous, a general look in their eyes of having seen a bit too much

What are your hobbies or entertainments?

I like the quiet and the calm a monastery brings, very little else. I would just like a simple, quiet life...

How do you support yourself?

The Abbey supports me

What is your home like?

Simple, whitewashed walls, wooden bed, a small amoutn of iconography on the walls.

What are your most cherished possessions?

I do need my surgical tools...

What are you proudest of?

One should never have too much pride...

What are you most ashamed of or feel most guilty about?

That a pretty face made me consider leaving my calling

Under what circumstances is it justifiable to resort to violence?

As an absolute last resort, it is not my place to use such otherwise

1. Your character is being announced at the Royal Ball by the most pompous, enthusiastic and long-winded Master of Ceremonies in recorded history. What do they declaim?

I cannot quite remember the correct titles... "Lord Florian Guelder" then something about what I do, but "tender of horses" is a trifle... underwhelming... Almost certainly just Florian Guelder now, perhaps with audible shocked whispering.

2. Give a 6-word backstory and/or history for your character, prior to their entering play - it is needed for the character bio on the back cover of this season's DVD.

One half of a long story...

3. However improbable it may seem, your character just won a boasting competition. What was their winning boast?

I do not feel I have achieved anything to boast about quite yet...

4. Your character loses a hand irrevocably, and is given the opportunity to have something grafted on to replace it. What do they pick?

A decent wooden carving. Of a hand.

5. What one impossible thing would you most like to have, be, or be able to do, in order to better physrep your character?

Be able to be about 6" taller

6. Your character is asked by their immediate superior which one thing they would choose to save from their dwelling, were it on fire. Sensing that a flippant answer is not called for, how do they instead answer?

The holy symbols of Humact.

7. Your character was abducted by Nightmares (or local equivalent) on the way out of the Arms, and wakes up in a sack (just as armed as they left the pub). What do they have in their pockets, and what one further thing do they wish they had also picked up from home this morning?

Some surgical tools and bandages, truely wish I had picked up the bone saw...

8. Your character's life is flashing before their eyes. Describe briefly any two of the following: Leaving their childhood home. Losing their first love. The first time they killed. The first time they lost a comrade. Another occasion on which they nearly died. A time they lowered their standards. A time they abandoned hope. Something that terrified them.

9. Your character wakes up in a Militia cell with no clear memories of their last few hours. Given time to think it over, why will they conclude they are there?

Good grief, I have absolutely no idea! Did I lose my temper?

10. Your character was obliged to leave town. As they fled, they left messages with a trusted friend. Most of them dealt with religious and social obligations, and put in place provision for their return (or otherwise) - but they found time for one quick personal note. Who is it to, and roughly what does it say?

"Caprifolia, Do not do anything stupid."
