Aana was a young hydrokin with a huge love for her fellow water creatures. Liked ritual magic, especially putting elementals into things inadvisably. Toy eels and swogs, for example. Joined the Merc's Guild because all the cool kids were doing it. Had a swog and knew how to use it. Swog had two babies, were willed to Amanita.

Looked up to Will Oliver, probably a bit too much... In fact, they went on a date the Sunday before his death. The fact that her parents died shortly before him broke her, causing her to hire lots of mercs to kill Will's killers, and then deliver her own soul to the elemental lord of water by means of a very loud ritual.
