PancakeParty2013

Each year I hold a pancake party towards the end of October, this year it got postponed by Bryony/TimB? wedding, but is now scheduled for Sunday 20th November, from 7.30.

There will be lots of pancakes available so if you wish to eat first and have a dessert pancake at the party that works, or eating just pancakes for dinner works too. There will be mulled wine and spiced apple juice.

Singstar will be available in the latter part of the evening if requested (the house is cunningly laid out so that the living room is upstairs and outside the main shell of the house, whilst the kitchen/diningroom are downstairs, so singstar can be kept apart from people wishing to continue conversation).

Bring: Pancake toppings (sweet or savoury) or cheap red wine to mull or your preferred alternative snack if you really hate pancakes.

Address: 49 Orchard Park CB4 2XQ 01223 423893

Directions:

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE BUS-STOPS ARE PRE-GUIDED BUS AND NOW OUT OF DATE!

Driving: Be on Kings Hedges Road. Go into the second entrance to Orchard Park, counting from the Histon end - this is directly opposite Arbury Road and has the noteable feature of opening out into a circle of multiple storey townhouses around a central green. You wish to leave the circle at 3 o'clock, so drive across it andthen turn right back round the circumference to do so. The circumference road ceases to exist after you have gone 1/4 of a circle and you have to turn left, IMMEDIATELY turn right across a thin unfinished strip into a brick paved carpark. Number 49 is on your left, it is the middle house of the three. There should be space to park in the carpark, otherwise the road you just turned from has free on-road parking space.

Bus: Get the guided bus to Orchard Park. Get off at the first Orchard Park stop (Orchard park is recognisable as a newish housing development of mostly blue and yellow-brick tall townhouses with dark blue slate roofs, the busway runs along the perimeter of the development with it on your left). Leave the bus stop in the direction that the bus was going and briefly scramble down a impromptu footpath onto the road below (if you go the other way you will be in the circle described above). Follow that road into the development towards some current building, and follow it round as it turns right. The first houses on the left after the building work are your destination, you want the house beyond the one nearest you. The total walk from the bus stop is about 90secs.

The Guided bus stop that you want is basically on the K of the 'Kings Hedges Rd' nearest our house in the map above.

The bus timetable I can find for the guided bus stops running before six on a sunday. Are there any other buses? --Malselene
Taxiclub is now organised. Meet at the St Andrews taxi rank at 1920. Split cost equally. Current members are Tea, Biscuits, MorkaisChosen, and Salavant. Will divide whoever turns up between taxis as evenly as possible, basically, so if there's another couple we'll go to an oversized taxi. --Tea
Malselene will tag on if there is a sixth else i will walk when I finish this problem sheet --Malselene
Andy would quite like to tag on as well, but can probably find an alternate route

Current Taxiclub is six, aiming for a people carrier:
