Directions to Little Abington Scout Camp, copied from page about 2007 event:

You can catch the 13A bus from the bus station or Hills Rd. On sensible days it leaves the bus station on the hour and 30 past, on Sundays it goes once per hour at ten past the hour. Get off the bus in Little Abington and follow the driving directions from "turn right onto the High Street" to get to the site from the bus stop. Here is a link to the bus timetable:

http://www.stagecoachbus.com/cambridge/timetables.php?depart=&arrive=&service=2618

As far as getting off at the right point is concerned: The bus turns right off the main road. You want to push the button *immediately*. The bus will then follow the road around to the left and stop. Get off it.

Getting off the bus at the right point is something of an experience, Aquarion has failed to do it twice now, and would highly recommend meeting people who have taken the bus before - perhaps for waffles - and taking the bus with them. The waffles need not have ice-cream centres.

The last bus back into Cambridge leaves Abington at about 10:30pm (This remains true on Sundays)

For the banquet, generally the final round of dancing not be finished by that time.

The site entrance is here: http://g.co/maps/v3xjg (right under the arrow). It is not obvious as there is a tree blocking the sign.

Note that the last bus leaves well before the banquet finishes- there may well be space in cars, and a taxi is in the £25 region so between four it's not too horribly priced.

Car shares

I managed to sell my car, but I think several members still have one ;P
Use the space below to arrange the car-shares.

I have a car, and can fairly trivially drive to Abbington via Cambridge. - Rakdos. (PM me on IRC as well as leaving messages here, as I will undoubtedly forget to read this.)

Tea + Gracewing +kit is mostly filling this now. A third passenger would be doable but a serious squeeze, probably. --Tea

Having said that I'd take the bus back - is there anyone coming back on Saturday evening who could give me a lift to central Cambridge? (Just in case I'd like to stay longer). - rainbow_kitten
