As with many similar systems, it's pay-to-play, although Skullduggery doesn't charge much. Lack of any one location can mean confusion for getting to events, and there seems to be quite a lot of history to the background, not easily accessible.
It runs on a global system, with starting characters at 3 global. With damage multipliers and projectile weapons doing up to triple through, this is a system with a high mortality, in which good archers are lethal. Character advancement is by levels, with pre-set skills at each depending on class/backgound, up to a cartain point, at which you start getting xp.
Monsters - whoever turns up, based around a dedicated monster crew
