Cheshire Quius, or Chess for short, is a newly appointed Grantabruggian Priest of Justice.
Born and raised in the city, she left shortly after she awakened to go adventuring with a couple of friends and see how Justice was applied in the wider world. Now she's back, fully instated, and ready to dispense Justice where needed! Potions are a hobby of hers, and if she can, she'll work them into the punishment...
Her first sentence did not go down well. Apparently, if you're going to charge someone with murder, they should get more than a week's cleaning duty. Who knew??
The week after, she makes amends by charging Vala for arson, taking 8 shillings and an arm, and then sentencing her again for murder and attempted murder. This time, with regret, she gives the death sentence. After Iska interferes, the crew is banished from Grantabrugge unless they return with Vala for her execution to be carried out. She also tried out some potions for sentencing with, to the amusement of some patrons of the bar.
Chess, in general, makes excellent and informed decisions. She allowed a somewhat troubled Vivamortian to carry out some necessary executions in the hopes of preventing said Vivamortian from clawing their own face off. So what if she was stuffing their tortured souls in daggers? Oops. It was OK in the end, right? There was also the time she decided to try and trial a murderous urchin gang alone. For some reason this ended up getting her stabbed in the back and left bleeding in a dark alleyway. She got patched up and did manage to sentence the perpetrator successfully for the burning of the Phoenix, so hey, s'all good, right? Did put a bit of a damper on her evening, though. Four weeks in, fun levels depleted quite dramatically. Success??
Because being a Justicar is hard and she realises that she still has a lot to learn, she's going back on the road to resume touring Albion and furthering her education in Justice, doing as much good as she can out there. She'll return when she feels ready.
