Possibly being expelled from the temple of Azrael for being too much of a zealot.
The irony of nearly being expelled from the temple of Azrael for being too militant was of course that Glenn actually served the true Lord of Life and Death. Otherwise known as Vivamort.
Glenn was the larger, louder and usually angrier half of the Glenn and Ari dynamic duo, or as they were affectionately christened by Vivamort "big one" and "small one".
Glenn was a man of simple pleasures: drink, hundreds of zombie minions, and seeing how many people he could get away with murdering in the name of Azrael and raze as zombie minions, with extra points if they were actually azraelites, humacti or someone he didn't like. He also worked on the principle that people rarely argue with what appears to be a very loud and angry azraelite who might just decide that "it's their time... to within reasonable doubt."
Following a slight mortal accident in the temple of humact Glenn has floated off to see what he can terrorise with his new better in every respect body.
