So, the armoury is going to need storage and transport in Year 9 of TT (the forthcoming year, 2011-2012).
There are usually 8 TT weeks in the first term, storage over Christmas, 9 weeks in the second term, storage over Easter and 4 weeks (often not entirely consecutive) in the third term.
The armoury has its own shelving unit, bought by the society in Year 7 (it may also have other/alternative possible storage equipment acquired in Year 8), and has reached the maximum workable size (eg: it should not expand further as it then won't easily fit into any given standard car). It takes up a space similar to an armchair or to one tall bookcase in a garage, depending how high it is stacked. There also exists a small amount (a couple of boxes) of bonus longer term armoury (masks we dont use, relatively bulky and distinctive items such as some cloaks etc) that could do with finding a shed they can live in untouched until requested by the refteam.
The ideal solution is for one individual to volunteer to be the Armoury Minion for the entire year and set up a permanent armoury in their garage/outbuilding for the whole time. This is entirely workable and not unduly taxing (having done it before) but does lead to sometimes being left to sort things out/shift the whole armoury alone at the 'home' end several times a week/donating some garage to it full time/needing to get it dry or even washed after a wet linear/fielding random emails from people wanting you to search through it all midweek, which can be an imposition.
Therefore if nobody is itching to step forward and control the society's costuming requirements for the next year, I propose a rota be drawn up WELL IN ADVANCE to spread the load between the various people with cars.

It may not yet be possible to commit to exact dates as all dates for events and other committments for next year will not yet be known, also the linear off-weeks etc are not yet known. However, even a general committment would be a good start.
