Some things to maybe go in something. Comments welcome: throw them up here rather than in-line pls.
Hit System:
- You have body hits (3?) which decrease when you are hit
- You have vitality (dodges, armour, wizzardry etc) which let you ignore one attack (thing Serenity vitality)
- You start bleeding on -1, losing one hit per minute(?)
- You may drop unconscious at any time. While unconscious you cannot be harmed by normal attacks (bleeding still happens). Do this by slumping somewhere, falling down, etc.
- You die when you reach minus body (eg -3).
Unconsciousness:
- Lasts a minimum amount of time (minute?)
- If you are above 0 hits when hit by a CURE, your unconsciousness lasts much less time (10s?)
Healing:
- If you are the target of a CURE call you may drop unconscious and take that many points of healing
- If you do not the call has no effect
Two second rule:
- Two clear seconds between damage calls
Grappling like Knights:
- You can initiate a grapple by placing a hand on someone's shoulder. If they hit you with a weapon on the way in then your grapple fails. Back off and try again...
- If you successfully grapple [call GRAPPLE], you and your opponent drop everything held except larp-safe weapons of (14? definitely under 18) inches or less.
- Your opponent can use skills at this point to counter-grapple, they place a hand on your shoulder. [maybe forcing people to grapple back with the same arm]
- You fight. Hits to the grappling arms do not count. You cannot use vitality on the blows of someone you are in a grapple with.
- People outside the grapple can hit you as normal.
- There would be skills to let you do other stuff during grapples.
ZOMBIE SLAVERY:
- zombies do not bleed. zombies are destroyed at -body.
- necromancers (body wizards) can make corpses into zombies as a cheap ability with unlimited charges. Fancy zombies cost extra.
- necromancers can heal zombies (eg CURE 1) on a countdown eg 5s
- zombies do not need to drop unconscious to take the effects of a CURE call.
- Basic zombies can be given one of three commands:
- This means that everyone who has any money to spend will pay a roaming body wizard to raise their dead family memebers
- Ancestor worship is a thing. They are statues right there in your living room. Who will wreck the shit out of someone starting something in your house.
- Take X to Y
- Fight my enemies (powerful, burns zombie out after X mins)
- Advanced zombies (more tricky to create) can either (maybe more options):
- Heal very slowly over time and obey complex orders (labour force)
- Regenerate by eating freshly-killed bodies
