So I had this idea for a game based around Monster Slaying By the Lowest Bidder. There's been a zombie apocalypse or demonic invasion looming on the horizon, but Humanity has triumphed! Huzzah! Unfortunately Humanity's now left with the consequences of horrors from beyond still popping up every so often, and the Army's made it clear that this really isn't what they're there for. So in the brave spirit of localism, $Somewhere City Council has a small budget for equipping a team of hard-hatted, chainmailed, tea-swilling Supernatural Vermin Control Officers and one rather grubby white van. |

I'm still unsure how much this is going to veer between black comedy and horror if it runs. It'll be either a one-off or a linearing system. Modern setting, but a lack of guns so that we can use more venues without someone calling the Police to shoot at us. Also because the Council isn't going to budget for guns when there's all these spears you can use. Spears don't need an ammo budget. |
