I, as well as many other TTers, enjoy the musical stylings of the acapella metal group known as Van Canto. For the uninitiated, this rag-tag bunch create tunes solely through the use of their mouths and guitar effects pedals, with the exception of the drummer because they realised that trying to get someone to beatbox fast enough would likely lead to them passing out due to lack of oxygen. Like all such good folk, they don't take themselves too seriously and in addition to covers of metal songs and their own compositions, their new album will also include covers of "The Final Countdown" as sung by Europe and "Holding out for a Hero", originally by Bonnie Tyler.

In order to celebrate this new album and spread merriment they shall once again be touring the continent, and for the second time in their existence will be making a stop in London. Unlike the previous such performance, this time they are headlining so there will hopefully be less waiting through inferior musical demonstrations for the glorious sight of grown men quite seriously chanting "riddly-diddly-diddly-diddly-diddly-diddly-dum-dum" into microphones. They will be doing this...

I plan to purchase a ticket on Wednesday night. It probably makes sense for people to buy these individually to prevent the faff of having to collect money as there doesn't seem to be a per transaction fee. However it would be good to know that I will not be alone, and also to organise travelling down there together, so if you would be so kind please add your name to the list below if you intend to partake of this musical extravaganza.
